The skills developed throughout the course underpin a wide range of employment opportunities and include technical skills, customer handling skills, oral communication, researching, problem solving and team work. These skills are highly valued by employers and along with the recognised qualification will help students enter into employment or onto higher education. There are also opportunities for vocational trips to allow students to put theory surrounding the Travel and Tourism industry into real world experience. There may also be visits to other local organisations or outside speakers.

These visits help understand the business elements and attractions of certain destinations.
